At St Benedict Biscop, every decision we make is rooted in one simple question: “What is in the best interests of our children?” This sits at the heart of who we are and guides all we do.
Since 1883, St Benedict’s has been at the heart of the Wombourne community. We are proud of our history, our strong Christian foundation and the sense of belonging that makes St Ben’s a place where children, families and staff learn, grow and belong together. Our motto, “Learning and growing together in Christian friendship,” reflects the spirit of our school and our commitment to supporting one another.
Inspired by the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:11: “Encourage one another and build each other up.” Our school vision shapes the way we live and work together, encouraging every member of our community to contribute and support others, to ensure our children thrive.
Our mission is to create a school where every child belongs, succeeds and flourishes. By ensuring that every child is known, valued and welcomed, we foster a sense of belonging and inclusion that gives them the confidence to embrace new opportunities and take risks in their learning.
We have high expectations for every child and nurture curious, enthusiastic and confident learners: learning is at the heart of all we do. Underpinned by our core Christian values of Generosity, Forgiveness, Friendship and Perseverance, We help our children develop the knowledge, character and aspirations they need for lifelong success.
As a Church of England school, we are committed to nurturing the whole child academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
